Download Outlook (Microsoft Exchange)

In order to take advantage of the MS Exchange features and its full functionality, it is recommended by Microsoft to use Outlook as an email client. Each Exchange mailbox includes a free copy of Outlook 2010 for PC or Outlook 2011 for Mac, which can be downloaded from SiteControl.

1. In case you already have Outlook installed on your computer you can proceed with the email account set up in your Outlook.

The following Outlook versions are supported by Exchange 2010:

Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Windows
Microsoft Outlook 2013 for Windows
Microsoft Outlook 2010 for Windows
Microsoft Outlook 2007 for Windows
Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac
Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac

Important: Microsoft Outlook 2003 is not supported, however as a workaround the Exchange 2010 mailbox can be setup as an IMAP email account.

 

2. If you don’t have Microsoft Outlook on your computer, please find below step-by-step installation instructions on how to download and install a free licensed copy of Outlook that will remain active as long as you remain an MS Exchange customer.

Important: Before you can download Outlook, you need to create an Exchange mailbox first.


Download and install Outlook 2010 on Windows

  1. Log in to SiteControl.
  2. Click on the Email icon.
  3. On the next page, click on the MS Exchange 2010 icon.
  4. Next, you will see a box with the number of active Exchange mailboxes and a link Download Outlook.
  5. When you get an Authentication required prompt, please enter your full Exchange email address and its correct password.
  6. On the next page, you have the option to download Outlook 2010 as a .zip file, as well as the Product Key.
  7. Once you click on the link for download, the process will start automatically. It is recommended to save the installation file to your Windows Desktop.
  8. Once the download is completed, extract the archive into a folder and run the setup.exe file. This will initiate the Outlook 2010 installation.
  9. Once the installation is completed, go to File -> Help -> Activate Product and enter the key. The product key is located on step 5 and it is recommended to copy and paste it.


Download and install Outlook 2011 on Mac

  1. Log in to SiteControl.
  2. Click on the Email icon.
  3. On the next page, click on the MS Exchange 2010 icon.
  4. Next, you will see a box with the number of active Exchange mailboxes and a link Download Outlook.
  5. When you get an Authentication required prompt, please enter your full Exchange email address and its correct password.
  6. On the next page, you have the option to download Outlook 2011 as a .zip file. Note that no license key is required.
  7. Click on the link for download and follow the instructions on the screen to save the file to your hard disk. If you are using Safari, the downloaded file is saved to the desktop or your Downloads folder unless you specified a different location in the Preferences dialog box of Safari. To check your preferences, on the Safari menu, click Preferences, and then click General.
  8. Once the download is completed, extract the archive into a folder and double-click the Microsoft Outlook 2011.dmg file to start the installation. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
